MIP's Educational Projects: Zhemchuhov Meets with Students of Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute
On 22 February 2019, Volodymyr Zhemchuhov, Adviser to the Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine and Hero of Ukraine, met with students of the Publishing and Printing Institute of Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The meeting was held within the framework of the educational project “Prisoners of the Kremlin”, aimed at national and patriotic education of the youth.
“Russia has been fighting against Ukraine not only for the last five years, but ever since our independence. The Kremlin, among other things, makes a great point of information warfare, distorting facts and spreading fakes on a constant basis. Therefore, I call on you to check information, track primary sources, and talk to people, and only then make your own conclusions,” Mr Zhemchuhov said to the students.
Ilmi Umerov, Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, attended the meeting.
“Prisoners of the Kremlin”, a film produced by UA/TV international broadcasting channel by the order of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, was presented to the students. At the end of the meeting, they were given information materials produced with the Ministry’s support.
Earlier, on 19 February, Mr Zhemchuhov met with students of Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University.
