This year an All-Ukrainian campaign "Give Vyshyvanka to Defender" was timed to this day held under the auspices of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine.

"On a personal note", Ms. Popova started. "I would like to admit that an oak leaf image for vyshyvankas (embroidered shirt) was not chosen randomly for our soldiers. It symbolizes longevity and patience, bodily and spiritual maturity. We want our Heroes to bear the talismans of the life-giving force of their origin".

This is going to be very symbolically in terms of history and identity. This is going to inspire the guys and fill them with strength for the victory. Furthermore, a soldiers wearing vyshyvanka will form a clear visual image of Ukrainian defender".
