Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine Initiates Campaign "May 18 We Are All Crimean Tatars"

As part of events dedicated to the 71st anniversary of deportation of the Crimean Tatar people, the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine has developed a social campaign "May 18 We Are All Crimean Tatars".

"Owing to support of volunteers from Simferopol, Donetsk, Sevastopol and Kyiv we created advertising themes to place them on outdoor advertising boards including Kyiv underground, as well as video and audio clips to broadcast them on television and radio. Information forces of Ukraine shortly before May 18 are organizing a Twitter storm", Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Artem Bidenko told.

The Campaign "May 18 We Are All Crimean Tatars" is a thematic continuation of campaign "Crimea is Ukraine", which started in the spring of this year at the initiative of the Ministry of Information Policy. Residents of Crimea should know that Ukrainian people also commemorate the memory of the victims of Crimean Tatar deportation", advisor to Minister on Crimean information policy Sergii Kostynskyi stressed.

Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine is a member of the steering committee for ensuring the Plan of Implementation of commemoration events dedicated to the 71st anniversary of deportation of the Crimean Tatar people, which is headed by the Vice-Prime Minister V.Kyrylenko. The Council was established by order of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk.
