MIP: UkraineNOW Brand Presented at Ukraine Reform Conference in Toronto
On 2-4 July, the third Ukraine Reform Conference took place in Toronto, Canada.
The conference featured the presentation of UkraineNOW, Ukraine’s single brand, created within the framework of the Commission for Promotion of Ukraine under the Ministry of Information Policy, and the Ukraine 360 project, which shows Ukraine’s places of interest in virtual reality format.
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, Artem Bidenko, took part in a panel conference on countering disinformation.
In his speech, Mr Bidenko said that Ukraine is faced with three key disinformation challenges: teaching media how to expose fakes and combat disinformation correctly; setting up nongovernmental organisations that counter disinformation; and the biggest one, stopping those who create and spread fake information.
Mr Bidenko stressed that Russians have built up the system of spreading false information in Ukraine and elsewhere in the world.
The third Ukraine Reform Conference in Toronto brought together high-ranking officials and leading international experts, while the visitors to the event were able to get to know more about Ukraine’s business and investment opportunities and products of Ukrainian creative industries within the framework of the unique Ukraine House platform.
Earlier, the conferences were held in London in 2017, and in Copenhagen in 2018.
